Co-operation between REROC member councils in relation to waste management

The REROC Waste Forum was established in 1997 to promote co-operation between REROC member councils in relation to waste management. Since that time it has expanded beyond waste management issues to encompass a wide variety of environmental issues and has been responsible for initiating a number of diverse projects.

Recycle Night? Recycle Right!

Your recycling is sorted 'by hand' by people with disability in Wagga Wagga, Cootamundra and Tumut. That's why it's so important that we all take a little extra care with what we put in our recycling bins!

Safe Sharps

The aim of the Safe Sharps’ project is to assist sharps' users to easily find approved sharps' disposal locations so that used sharps can be properly and safely disposed of.

Community Recycling Centres

The REROC Waste Forum successfully received funding or $705,720 to establish eleven new Community Recycling Centres (CRCs)  under the NSW Government's Waste Less Recycle More initiative.

Compost Doctor

The Compost Doctor is a free service providing advice on home composting. You can ask a question about composting via the website or you can search the Q&A database for answers or you can text your question and pictures to the Compost Doctor.

Renew NSW

RENEW NSW commenced as eight regional waste management groups, encompassing 150 councils in NSW. The groups work together proactively, to improve resource recovery and waste management across the whole of NSW.

Love Food, Hate Waste

Love Food Hate Waste aims to raise awareness about the environmental, economic and social impacts of food waste in NSW and reduce the amount of good food being sent to landfill.
