No Time to Waste
The challenges facing the rural and regional waste management and resource recovery sector will once again be the focus for this year's Rural & Regional Waste Management Conference "No Time to Waste" to be held in Wagga Wagga on Wednesday 13 June, 2012. The Conference will be held at Charles Sturt University.
No Time to Waste has drawn speakers from across NSW to showcase the innovative responses that have been implemented to create sustainable solutions to waste management and resource recovery that particularly apply to operations in rural and regional areas.
The Draft Conference topics include:
• Carbon Pricing and Local Government
• Contamination Reduction Eduation campaign
• Case Study: Mobile MRF
• Kerbside organics collection in small communities
• Waste reduction in packaging
• Asbestos Model Policy for Councils
• Planning for bio-solids
• National TV & Computer Product Stewardship Scheme
The Conference will be of interest to waste managers, landfill operators, local government general managers and councillors and recycling operators.
The cost of attendance is $132 per person (incl GST) and $110 (incl GST) per peson after that. Registrations close on 6 June.
